Quoting: michiganman BS! HARRISON, Ark. - The government shutdown is impacting one of the Ozarks' most pristine landscapes, as the Buffalo National River is essentially shut down to all visitors until further notice. Anyone staying in cabins and campgrounds on the grounds under the oversight of the Buffalo National River administration will need to leave within 48 hours. Visitors will be notified of the park's closure, the release stated. The park is also closed to people wishing to hunt, hike or ride horses. [link to articles.kspr.com] Hey chucklehead, dont read well? i said NATIONAL FORESTS were still open to public, at least around here, NATIONAL PARKS ARE CLOSED you used PARKS in your response and then say BS? WTF! And they say the Communists lost,LOL |

Do you think NASA is the only group in the world capable of knowing about an ELE. There's the Russians and many other programs, not to mention the thousands of amateur astronomers who are much more capable than most people give them credit for. If martial law is coming, its because our economy is on the verge of collapse. I'm not a preparedness tard, but I think its a good time to buy a big sack of rice and some dry beans. |

Where I live, bordering National Forest, this spells a really long cold winter for the locals. Many use wood around here for heat & income in the winter. This winter is supposed to be especially harsh. National Parks make up a tiny fraction of public land. It sucks but keep your facts straight. Plenty of bug out land. even if you wanted to use a park it would be easy. Its just roads and services they are guarding. THIS! I'm surrounded by national forests, all open to the public. Only part closed are the toilet facilities and tourist info/retail buildings. Nothing to stop anyone from parking and walking out into the wilderness, no security forces digging up hurried ar15s..... It's funny reading all of these claims by city folk who obviously don't live near the woods or know what they are talking about. As for me, I'm going to drive my truck out to one of my fav spots in the national forest to cut firewood, just like I did yesterday. Go ahead and role play and larph all you want. |

It is we who controll the government. A real shutdown would be citizens not letting these people back and give them no pay until our problems are fixed Quoting: violentoppisition You have no control over your own government, your government shuts down you don`t get paid but they are getting paid. This would be the perfect way fot them to make it happen. Question is.....why? Why now? We've known the economy was going to go *bust* for quite some time now. Since at least June the bust has been called out for October by several market watchers. And let's remember...the Fed has all those new $100 bills they've been hanging on to for several years, and they announced they'd be releasing those in October. Some believe that we'll get 1-for-2...we give them $200 and they give us a shiny new $100 in exchange. Fukushima is worse than people realize. There's going to be a truckers' strike 11-13 October 2013. Better already have your stuff stocked up. We are on a JIT system and if the trucks stop, the shelves will empty in a matter of days. There's a new 'flu coming...one that I think is manmade, but that's JMHO...and the government is preparing for it in a big way and with an uncomfortable rush (as we've seen by the government bids, etc.). Nobody knows what ISON will do, and maybe it will not harm us at all, but it would be an amazing "crisis" that this administration wouldn't want to waste. Gold. Where is all the gold? Who has the gold? Weather forecasts are showing a nasty winter. And we have wars, and rumors of wars. Looks like a perfect storm to me. If the plan is to ease us into martial law, I'd be putting aside some cash, some extra fuel, some groceries (to last at least 2 weeks...because that's what FEMA advises...but I'd be planning on 3 months minimum), wood if you have a fireplace, candles for light and heat, etc. |
