Went to an event this afternoon in fact to get a Tea Party Senator elected.

...and GLP plays a part in that as well from another perspective.
Making sure that the TRUTH gets out....which is partially why I spend time here making sure the TRUTH is exposed.

Tea Party was co-opted a few years ago by the Rethuglicans, and the Libertarian Party was led by some guy *cough* Gary Johnson *cough* who couldn't even balance his own state's budget, let alone pay his own campaign bills. Nevermind his claim that fraud somehow never played a part throughout this entire economic debacle. No, this guy and his followers' main issue is with drugs, gays, and God.

In other words, don't waste your time with these people: you might as well listen to politicians and the media. Go to MarketTicker.org if you want the truth; the same folks who started the damn Tea Party to begin with, and realize what a complete joke they are today.

Nothing irks a real Libertarian more than a thread like this. Usually we're too busy actually working to feed our mouths and keep a roof over our heads to post anything anywhere on NSA snoop-infested websites like these, but BS like this needs to be called out for what it is.

Finally, my Tea Partier litmus test: Do you use a credit union or bank? Because credit unions are socialist. So are mutual insurance companies. So are farmer's co-ops and rural electric co-ops. I use a credit union because it's cheaper, more responsive, better service, and I'm treated like a person rather than a fleshy ATM they use to pad the bottom line. Does that make me socialist? And if so, so what? I just want a better world for all of us.

I think nothing will change for the real tea party until the voting fraud is addressed. I know Ron Paul was cheated at the booths. The media and GOP leadership also sabotaged him at every turn. I don't see this changing any time soon, so I don't think we have won and won't until this addressed.
