As for insulting the DC inside the beltway crowd... it is nearly impossible to say anything about those twits that is NOT insulting. I do wish he had exposed more of their pathetic sex lives, however. Most of these people are duller than shit and anything you can say or accuse them of is probably now, or was recently true!

The revelation that Joseph was @natsecwonk came as a shock because Joseph was a familiar figure in the foreign policy world – as is his wife Carolyn Leddy, a highly-regarded staffer on the Republican side of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee...

The anonymous, acerbic Tweeter who went by the handle @NatSecWonk was a White House staffer on the verge of being named to a leading Pentagon position before he was fired last week for his nasty, sneering online identity. Now, one-time National Security Council staffer Jofi Joseph is under investigation by the Justice Department for his alleged social media activities -- both as @NatSecWonk and also possibly as @DCHobbyist, a Twitter account devoted largely to the exploits of North American escorts...


(tweets) raised questions about Joseph, who is married to a respected Senate staffer on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Carolyn Leddy. Openly interacting with escorts can be a security risk; for a married and well-placed official, it can easily lead to blackmail and worse. The fact that @DCHobbyist appeared to be so brazenly engaged in such activities raised red flags about Joseph's state of mind. One individual briefed on the matter told FP that based on the two Twitter handles, Joseph's case was referred to the Department of Justice to determine if any of the information leaked by NatSecWonk or if the "behavior" of DCHobbyist amounted to criminal acts that would put in jeopardy Joseph's security clearance. Meanwhile, Senate Foreign Relations Committee officials are trying to determine if anything Joseph posted had represented classified information and provided to him by Leddy...


Joseph, who had helped to conduct high-level White House discussions on Iran and belonged to the non-proliferation section of the NSC, was in the final stages of vetting for a senior level position at the Pentagon. He was to work as a top adviser to Frank Kendall, the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, a key job at a time when the Pentagon is going through a fundamental budgetary transition. Joseph was expected to be announced for that position in the next week or two. That job, of course, is now no longer a possibility. Instead, Joseph faces scrutiny from the Department of Justice, Situation Report is told, for his Tweets as NatSecWonk and as DCHobbyist....

This afternoon, the story is White House insider was recklessly communicating with call girls - security risk, so WH had to find out who it was.

He was the White House's guy on Iranian nukes; his wife is the Senate's expert on Iranian nukes. Meaning - they probably know more about Iranian nukes than just about anyone outside of Iran.

He's fired and her productivity is probably way down. Right when we are negotiating w/ Iran....

Also, why did he out himself as @DCHobbyist? He knew the plumbers were after him and he felt a self-disclosure was better than their gotcha?

In the summer of 2012, Joseph issued multiple tweets under his @natsecwonk account suggesting that Rhodes was the source of classified information leaked to the press about the Stuxnet virus, a joint U.S.-Israeli dumbfuck hater/spammerfare effort to sabotage Iran’s nuclear centrifuge program. Joseph, as an official in the non-proliferation bureau of the State Department and later inside the White House, was part of the administration’s team working on the Iranian nuclear issue.

On June 14, just days after the FBI began a probe into the leak and the Senate Intelligence Committee started planning public hearings on the matter, Joseph, posing as @natsecwonk, pointed the finger at Rhodes.
