'We've reached the end of antibiotics': Top CDC expert declares
It is time to do some research into supplements that can build your immunity and help with bacterial, viral and fungal infections.

'We've reached the end of antibiotics': Top CDC expert declares that 'miracle drugs' that have saved millions are no match against 'superbugs' because people have overmedicated themselves

Srinivasan, who is also featured in a Frontline report called 'Hunting the Nightmare Bacteria,' which aired Tuesday, said that both humans and livestock have been overmedicated to such a degree that bacteria are now resistant to antibiotics.

‘We're in the post-antibiotic era,' he said. 'There are patients for whom we have no therapy, and we are literally in a position of having a patient in a bed who has an infection, something that five years ago even we could have treated, but now we can’t.’.

What REALLY pisses me off is him saying "…because people have overmedicated themselves."

WTF?!

People medicate themselves? On what planet?!

DOCTORS have overmedicated the people because big pharma has given them incentives to sell drugs to useless people as product inventory.

The FDA has overmedicated the people by poisoning our food supply.

Anyone here ever request that their meat be injected with antibiotics? Of course fucking not.

Anyone here every request their doctor prescribe them dangerous high-power black box warning antibiotics for minor sinus infections? Of course not.

But that's what happened, and the people had NOTHING to do with it.

I agree.

Thousands of people a day are being written scripts for everything from snotty noses to colds to acne. 99.9% of those scripts are unneeded.

This mass abuse of antibiotics will have to stop and stop soon.

I can attest to this firsthand. I was prescribed Levaquin for an infection that I didn't even have. Nearly killed me in one day, not even kidding. To top it off, I was given the prescription loose in a ziplock baggy with no literature, no box, no nothing. Just "take three a day" and call me in a week.

One of the most dangerous drugs I've ever encountered given to me as a bag of samples, giving them even more stock to sell to others. Doc gets about $400 every time they write a script for that black box poison.

Antibiotics are controlled substances prescribed by doctors what big pharma does not want you to understand is common natural herbs such as garlic, oregano, olive leaf, Colloidal Silver, Chlorophyll, Spirulina, Curcumin to name a few will work wonders building your immune system.

Do some research on the United Nations Codex Alimentarius and review what they wish to ban then research what might assist you.

I only use natural antibiotics like: coloidal silver, garlic, onion, ginger, coco oil, sodium bicarbonate (candida), urine therapy (interferon) etc. and I can get rid of an infection in a matter of 2 or 3 days.

Alopathic antipiotics are useless and dangerous since they kill all kings of bacterias: the good ones as well as the bad ones and haver side effects. This is one more proof that alopathic medicine is useless.

Thumbs up to this. Garlic (allicin) is a very potent antibiotic and there isn't a single form of bacteria which is resistant to it.

My brother passed away this year, his body was riddled with infections starting with a gangrenous colon that never healed to include infections in his legs compounded by poor circulation. His body was not released to the funeral home for three days while the hospital cataloged all his numerous infections that did not respond to powerful antibiotics.

Perhaps you should read the article big pharma follows the money and there is little money to be gained meaning the government is not subsidizing research into antibiotics.

We cut raw garlic on top of all our meals and during flu season I make olive leaf tea that we drink hot or iced and we have not had a cold or flu in 10 years and we are not spring chickens. Might I also add that we shun the flu, pneumonia or shingles vaccines that our doctors try to foist upon us each year.

I've noticed that general doctors (GP's) are completely worthless. They have no idea how to treat or identify anything. They prescribe antibiotics and/or send you to a specialist. Then, they collect your money. What a complete scam. I'm in the wrong business.

Levaquin is some nasty stuff.

I got pneumonia last year and they gave it to me and I'm pretty sure I'm still dealing with the effects of taking it.

The problem with people is they don't realize the symbiotic relationship our body has with so many types of microorganisms or cell for cell we are made up of more non-human than human cells by a ratio of something like 9-1 and when we introduce antibiotics into our system, we mess with stuff that modern medical science is only beginning to recognize, let alone understand.

Check this out, it's pretty interesting:

I believe it. It was developed as an EMERGENCY treatment for people with Anthrax overseas in war, not for common ailments. They give it out like candy for one reason: It's expensive.

It's not even technically an antibiotic. It doesn't attack and kill bacteria at all. What it does is change the actual DNA of your normal healthy cells into a form which is unappealing to bacteria, preventing it from multiplying. It is essentially chemotherapy in pill form. It also crosses the blood/brain barrier, which is scary on its own.

Not only did it fuck my head up, I nearly ruptured my achillies tendon just walking across my living room, and almost blew out one in my hand just operating the remote control on my tv. This was after a single dose.

Levaquin leaches all the magnesium from your tendons and connective tissue as well. If you want to get it out of your system: Chelated Magnesium is a good place to start. Took me months before I began to feel normal again.

Should be illegal for general use. If it saves someone's life in the desert, fine, but it's not fit for public consumption at all.

Oh my god that Levaquin sounds horrific. I stay away from doctors! I know a woman who almost died from antibiotics. They sterilized her gut and she was starving to death as a result. Took the doctors a while to figure out what was going on.

I'm with the posters on this thread who use garlic, olive leaf extract, oregano oil, etc. I keep a well stocked cupboard of supplements and herbs. Rest is also an important component of health and prevention!

I have known this for years. When I was training as a nurse back in 1974 (so last century), they told us this was coming up then.
