Try talking to those who do not share your experience of life and who have no desire to know what your experience of it is. You will learn that the gulf which separates cannot be bridged no matter how hard you may try to.

Those who are consumed and who choose to be cannot - and have no desire to - cross. What they experience is being eaten - sometimes physically, typically spiritually. And then the horror of what just happened shows itself. In the next round, they may choose different lessons to learn.
