yeah. I told my friends all about Fukushima, and then they invited me over for a fish fry. I ate it to be polite and figured one dinner wasn't going to kill me. but, I've eaten almost no fish for a couple years. won't ever order a fish taco either.

Northern Cali here, only 1.5 hours from the ocean.

Lobsters are mainly caught off the east coast in areas like Maine and Nova Scotia. I doubt you have anything much to worry about regarding radiation from those areas.

I'd be more concerned about mercury if I was you.

If Fukushima has affected MAINE LOBSTERS then you might as well give up on ANY food at all unless you grow it yourself in a clean room somewhere.

It may come to that anyway but so far, I'd say lobsters (the red ones come mostly from New England coastal waters. The brown ones, rock lobsters, are inferior quality anyway and imo not worth eating) are not a problem.

This is a no brainer for me. I hate most fish and I hate red lobster. The only fish that tasted good to me, years ago I had Mahi Mahi in Florida.

I showed my whole family the fukushima story...
we've cut all fish except for locally caught out of our diet.....said bye bye to shrimp and Long John Silver's.....
..and we also cut out all fruit except for locally grown.

I got no laughter from them...we all had the same reaction.
Not even CLOSE to being worth the risk.
