I have a hard time with the outside cats, too. They give me a mental dilemma that just tears my heart out. I won't feed them (unless I'm *really* drunk).

We've only had two, really, in the last two years. The first one was Roland. The gunslinger.

We grappled about what to do about him. (We have two rescue housecats, who don't go outside).

He ended up getting hit and we buried him. It was sad, because he was so cool.

Now, there's another one and I won't even talk to him. I completely ignore him and it's hard for me to do that.

We haven't seen him since it started snowing, so I am hoping that he is holed up in a barn.
