So after discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with numerous advocacy groups, A&E has decided to resume filming Duck Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family.
We will also use this moment to launch a national public service campaign (PSA) promoting unity, tolerance and acceptance among all people, a message that supports our core values as a company and the values found in Duck Dynasty. These PSAs will air across our entire portfolio. -A&E

Has anyone seen the photos of the Robertson clan BEFORE the series? Not a beard among them! Willie had short blonde hair with light blonde tints and dressed like they all did. Like "yuppahs". NO camo! Nice slacks with button down dress shirts. They grew the beards for the show after they made a comedy video making fun of rednecks and Hollywood showed an interest.

It wasn't duck calls that made them all millionaires, it was television!

The old man has every right to free speech no matter who it offends so I stand behind his right to speak what he believes. But if he's so sure he's representing the "truth", then they should take off the camo wardrobe and be themselves and see how many points, residuals and ancillaries THAT gets them. ^This^ Everybody is a sinner. Difference is most are ashamed of their sin and do not "promote" their sin. Well, at least it used to be that way. These days, too many actually revel in their sin.

Has anyone noticed the shows sponsors? The companies that sign those huge checks for them? If Phil was a man of his word, as he claims, he would quit for that alone. His "wholesome" entertainment" supports the very businesses he claims to stand against.

And those "suburban yuppahs" he makes so much fun of are the guys delivering those checks. Think he preaches to THEM while they're handing over the cash?

I don't have TV, but I'm glad the man isn't being punished for expressing his personal views. A&E should be ashamed this ever had to be an issue.

Again, the whole deal with a/e and the duck dudes was/is a very well written/planned HUGE money making marketing strategy, plain and simple.

Only problem with your story is it takes a few years to grow beards that long. I have no doubt that Phil kept his lifestyle fairly simple despite his wealth and success. You can tell that from his house. Now his sons are a different story, but I'm sure they remember and appreciate their youth.

Read Title VII religious anti-discrimination laws in the work place.

There is no freakn' way firing a man for publicly talking about his religious beliefs off work and off work site is not religious discrimination. And if somehow its not, then laws should be tightened to make certain this is illegal.
