OP, this is interesting. HOWEVER, I'm curious to know if reading the words of a favorite song, some great poetry or even a heartwarming story would be capable of producing the same outcome.

In other words, is this simply a case of mind over matter? Or, alternatively, is it a personal faith in the bible that's allowing the subject to heal themselves? The brain is highly complex and more powerful than we know, but I'm interested in seeing a comparison study instead of her simply claiming it's specifically the exact words from the bible that are the cause.

I believe a good part of it is mind over matter. A person could read the bible, and if they don't believe in what they are reading, healing is not going to happen. I think that if you believe you can heal, without a doubt, then the mind can certainly heal. There are many people who have not read the bible, or do not believe in the bible, who have healed.
