Try a few drops on some pork - awesome! A few drops in some chicken salad - just a little kick! I love that stuff...but, careful! There is some serious heat there! |

DONE! It tastes good with Sateh/Satay or other bbq'ed meat. Good sateh/Satay recipe: Choose a good meat for the sateh... i like pork meat from the shoulder. Cut meat in small parts. Chop or crush some cloves of garlic and chop onions and add to the meat. Also put coriander powder and ginger to the meat (it's better when you crush coriander seeds and ginger in a mortar). Don't be shy with the coriander powder you can add quite a lot! Now you can choose to add some dried or fresh red peppers. Add ketjap manis and a little vinegar ( vinegar, so the meat gets tender) and maybe a little sugar if needed. And ofcourse salt and pepper! You can also add a litte cumin to taste. Now put the meat on sticks so you can bbq them. Never let the tip of the satay stick empty.. fill the satay stick till to top of the stick.. else the stick will burn on the bbq.. These are real Indonesian family recipes! ENJOY! |
