What the hell? Seriously, I mean Americans love to bitch about British and European national health services, but come on, who the hell could afford premiums like that, and I mean even before the increases!? It would do every American good to pop over to the UK and see how it works here. Sure we have problems, but honestly, you don't have to come up with anywhere near that kind of money for world-class care. Even if you go private the health insurance isn't anywhere near that.

Americans need to realise something; they are being fleeced by the entire healthcare industry as well as the government. There is a reason that many European health insurance plans cover you anywhere in the world EXCEPT for the United States.

Honestly, I feel so sorry for you guys.

Take a look at the prices charged by drugs companies, and the charges for things like X-rays and scans in the US compared to other places. Europe has a bigger population and more illegal immigrants to support.

The base fact is here that what you guys in the US are being charged is out of whack with everywhere else - like not even on the same planet. Really, don't put up with it any more. And before anyone starts bitching about doctors who do all that hard work deserving good pay, yes they do, and yes they get freakin' good money here in the UK too - but not SILLY money like in the US.

Priorities need looking at in the US and I really don't think the muppet Obama is the best one to do it.
