Murder Charge Dropped Against Man who Killed Cop in No-Knock Raid

There shouldn't even be a question about this. If someone breaks into your house you should be allowed to shoot until your clip runs out and then two reloads. A cop breaking into your house is no longer a cop but an armed criminal attempting murder.

A few months ago there was a thread about this story and how it was bullshit that in a gun loving state like Texas that this man was arrested and charged.

While this is GREAT news, what's sad is that he remains in jail while the county is setting up a new grand jury to present its case to.
The DA is going to keep this thing going until they get their indictment for murder.

Also, while the present Grand Jury returned with a "No Bill" on the shooting charges they did indict him on charges of having "more than 4oz. but less than 5 lbs. of marijuana while in possession of a deadly weapon." which is a Class Three felony and could land him in prison for up to 10 years.

Unfortunately, it seems that this "victory" is going to be very short lived.
