I suck as a Christian :( I don't have any clue

OP, don't give up, hang in there. I will be praying for you. Like someone else posted earlier, the demons are on the loose. The demons are out in full force attacking a lot of us. Just keep praying and reading your bible.

First stop trying to fight off the enemy on your own strength. Remember it is by the Grace of God that saves which was done on the Cross. When you get on your knees and repent of your sins and ask the Lord Jesus to come into your heart and be Lord and Savior of your life you are a new creation. The old passes away behold you are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. Spend time in prayer and read the Word. God The Father will complete the good work that He has started in your life. The Cross expresses the great love of God. As you begin your walk with the Lord and grow spiritually you will find that sin will lose its power over you. Its not something you do on your own , but by Christ Jesus who strengthens you.

For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 3:22

I got a question, just what do you think a Christian is?

do you believe that jesus is the only begotten son of god? who was born to a virgin? who taught the good news?
who died on the cross to purchase mankind from his sins?
who rose from the grave after three days?
who now stands at the throne of god, interceding for man?
who will return to set up his kingdom for 1000 years?

if so, you got it covered....it's not about anything you can do....it's about jesus.

Those old dietary laws were completed. could be wrong but this is another thing Jesus came to set straight.

Church is good but God is not mad at you if you don't go. God is not mad at you period.

I fail daily too.
I was thinking this week how wonderful the forgiveness of god is.
There's nothing I can do that can't be forgiven. It gives me freedom.

Seriously, spend some time pondering that everything you do will be forgiven if you ask.

So....you keep sinning? Keep asking for forgiveness. Eventually, you'll get tired of those sins and struggle with the more dangerous ones like pride.

Seek justice, love kindness, and walk humble with your god.

Stop boasting about how much you Love, Serve, Want to Love, Want to Serve, God and start boasting about how much God/Jesus loves you!

Peter strived to please God and Peter was always making mistakes.

John however called himself the disciple who Jesus loved and we found him being the one who was resting his head in peace on the chest of Jesus. He was the same one who did not experience a brutal death at the hands of his enemies.

When we start realizing how much Jesus loves us it will motivate us, empower us.
Unlike a slave who never knows if he can ever have the approval of his master.

PS: This is just how I know God and God does not send you to hell over a "sin of the flesh" which is like making mistakes, shortcomings, old habits that refuse to die, even overtaken by lust and do bad things. People are sent to Hell because they commit the sin of DENYING JESUS.

You have not done that in your heart. Stop condemning yourself. Stop being sin conscious. Stop worrying about mistakes and keeping tally.

Start (even if you just sinned by doing the most nasty thing) saying to yourself just how much Jesus loves me. That even while I was a sinner He died for me. That God loves me so much that while I was lost He sent His only son into the world to pay my ransom.

Jesus himself said he didn't come to abolish the law, not that gentiles were ever subject to mosaic law.
I believe Paul was a false apostle and a corrupter of Christianity, but claiming he proposed vegetarianism is just a down-right lie. That's how new-agers do; sprituality for them is just a smorgasbord of their choosing and second hand sources.

That particular verse of Paul I believe was him trying to polemize and ridicule the true apostles, like Peter and John, who were adhering to a strict vegetarian diet by labeling them as weak in faith. He also taught it was OK to eat meat sacrificed to idols. Which was obviously contrary to the teaching of Jesus and the apostles

Dude... OP... My man... You're good bro - you're forgive! Jesus said "come to me all who are weary and I will give you rest." He wants you to take comfort and shelter in Him. The Hebrew work Yeshua (Jesus) means safety/refuge. Jesus LOVES U man... Don't let the devil win, he's a liar!

The Christian walk is a battle with the flesh, it does get easier with time.

Read the Word every Day. Ask the LORD for strength daily. Pray the Lord's Prayer daily. Strive to do good to those around you daily.

The Lord loves you inspite of your failings.

I know how you feel. I love screwing around. I just see a beautiful girl and I got wood. I'm almost 50 and I don't think it gets any easier. My dad was a horny goat until he died in his late 70's. I am a pretty good person otherwise.

Pray for truth to be revealed to your heart, stay close to Holy Scripture. Pray for the faith.

If you did not sin, you would not know His love, grace and mercy.

If you eliminated all you say you are doing with ceasing the actions of them, you would still be battling thought of doing so and entertaining ideas. Each is the same according to God; although from a human's perspective you would be a saint just because you 'acted' appropriately.

Try to eliminate at least some in actions to ease your mind.

There is no way out of being a sinner in action, thought and word. We are covered by His blood with love, grace and mercy ALL the time.

What? really? This is the kind of diabolical reasoning that is sending billions straight to hell!

Do you really know what it means to call yourself a sinner? It means you continuously do wicked things to others when ever you have the opportunity.

In other words, your not even saved. Many so called Christians often say this and think they are being humble!

But what it really means is that they've imbibed a false gospel that doesn't make any demands on how they behave towards others.

This is NOT why Jesus came. He came to make us RIGHTEOUS! Which in practise means to give us the love to continuously do good things to others, when ever we have the opportunity.

If this is not your continues desire, then you are not saved at all!

We have been made righteous because we believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and God. It's this belief that causes Him to breath His life into us, giving us the ability to ACTUALLY PRACTICE BEING RIGHTOUS!

"Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous." [1John 3:7]

So you see, you are calling the Lord a liar when AFTER accepting Him as your Lord and God, you still call yourself a sinner!

Romans 8:38-39

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord

I noticed a lot of the thoughts and words you use about yourself and actions are negative.
Forgive and love yourself and move on. Think you are starting to change for the better, moment by moment and the results will start to happen. God is LOVE

OP.. Rejoice in the fact that you are bothered by these things you confess. If you weren't .. your conscience would be seared and that is very problematic. You are in good shape! Better than you know.


Stop thinking about all the "bad" things you are thinking about yourself!! Jesus thought you were worth dying for!


Instead of thinking of yourself... think of Him. Read His Word.. Listen to praise music.. Get on your face and just talk to Him.

Replace "you" with "Him". You'll be fine
