Apparently this allows the issue to be put on the back burner for a time.
The ship cannot be delivered to Russia without permission of the French government and it cannot be sold to any other party without the permission of the Russian government.

People fail to understand some things. Putin's health is allegedly beginning to fail. There are sanctions all over him and his country, there economy is suffering. And the Russian people are as proud of Russia and the US is proud of George Washington.

We can talk all we want about sanctions and Putin being a weakling all we want but here's the deal. IT DOESNT MATTER. It's all about his perception. You have to stop and get rid of your nationalistic view in your paradigm to be able to have objective outside the box thinking.

All those people thinking Putin is weak, Russia will never invade, blah blah.. You could be right, you could also be wrong. But thinking is won't happen because he's weak, crazy, or that the US and NATO are far superior is a narrow minded and ignorant way to plan for it if you were in power. For all we know we've pushed him to the brink. And on the world stage with a leader possible with failing health, he just might very well say, "fuck it". We could very easily be looking at some world leaders that are more interested in pushing their agendas and comparing dick sizes that we could all be in a lot of hurt and trouble soon. Misguided and overly emotional people with sudden rejection tend to do some really dumb shit. We all know some guy that got dumped or cheated on by some girl and they flipped out and did some stupid, potentially dangerous and harmful things to either themselves or to other, we've seen it before. Now just escalate that to someone in a position of world leader and instead of a girl it's NATO and or the US / Europe. He's been rejected. And with the alleged failing health we could be looking at a Putin "fuck it" moment. He could very well just push the issue back in the face of those against him to the point of no return. And don't underestimate the willingness of someone so hurt to want to take everyone down with them as they fall.

In the end the US, NATO, AND Russia have done some pretty dumb things by giving the ignorant masses some boogieman to hate, on each side. The only real thing holding a large portion of both the US and Russian economies together and giving many jobs are military manufacturing and infrastructure. And in many cases those are high skilled, high tech jobs. It has to keep going or the enemies of governments would be it's own people, not Russia, not the US, not some foreign boogieman. There has to be something to keep the military industrial complex going.

Putin / Obama are too proud to just let things be, they have to push their point because in their own view they're right and their way is the better way. Not only this they also believe the world would be a much better place without the other in it.

We could very well wake up in the middle of the night with news of some major SHTF going down. Thing is, we won't know if / when it happens. And just like other wars it will probably happen because of something small or an accident. Something like MH17 normally would have done it but somehow the world restrained from that. Whoever downed that plan is irrelevant to us, the masses. I simply mean the event was something like the Lusitania, Gulf of Tonkin, USS Maine, Archduke Ferdinand moments in history.

It's a mess and Putin could very well just go nuts because of emotional rejection. People do stupid shit all the time, world leaders are no different. With all the pressure and rejection put on him and everything he's done he see as no different than what everyone else does in the world he's probably angry on top of all that emotional rejection.

At the end of the day Putin made his case in his recent speech. He was clearly demonizing the activities of the US and the West at large. Right or wrong he's building his case from his own perspective of ridding the world, or lessening the influence of, the United States. And he might just act on it. This recent drill, this moving of nuclear assets around, the recent airspace near incursions all line up with his speech.

Personally I think Putin is about to make his move. At this point it doesn't matter about who's right or wrong, in this situation it might simply come down to survival. Right now these are bluff and muscle flexing by Putin. That could change in minutes based on a wide range of possibilities.

I think Putin is near a breaking point, rejected, and emotional. And if his alleged failing health is true... well, in his mind he might not have anything to lose. And boom.

These leaders are too proud to simple fade away into irrelevance and let the rest of the world continue while their's crumbles. The will be heard, some way or another.

The existing status quo is unbearable for Russia, both the security threat the new Ukrainian government is posing to Russia and the western sanctions, so the situation should be changed as soon as possible, time is playing against Russia.
