I'm putting my money on a pissed off father. He was a family court judge and from what I've read, wasn't liked.

All I know is that they are a Family Court Judge. The list of suspects is virtually endless.

It is not Judge Reno, it is a Reno, Nevada judge.

The story on DC radio is that the judge was shot square in the chest, through the window and no report of his condition. The reporter here called it a 'sniper attack'.

So called expert snipers are one thing. A person who can shoot effectively at long ranges is another, and very different, thing.

Snipers are trained at land navigation, concealment, camoflague, communications, and a host of other things that allow them to operate in a hostile enviorment. Shooting is only ONE of the skills, and arguably the skill most easily learned.

In any large city, especailly in a city out West, you will find hundreds if not thousands of men (hunting sports are typcially male dominated) who can shoot a target effectively at 200 yards, 300 yards, 500 yards or even further, and do this all day without missing.

I believe if the authorities look at recent cases that the judge was working on they will find out that the shooter was a husband, father, or brother or uncle of one of the people who appeared before him. Probably not more than 3 months in the past either.

No conspiracy here.

I mean I could understand it if he was the judge who struck down the law passed by both houses of Congress, and signed by Pres. Bush, to outlaw partial-birth abortion.

my mother is a family law lawyer and she's had guys threaten her life.
