Well, EBT stands for "Everybody Be Taking", right?

Why do those "We Accept EBT" stores always sell so many lottery tickets and beers during business hours?

They don't get to use that card directly do they? Not that it would matter since they could use other funds they don't have to hit since the EBT saved them there.

if you look around, you can find them selling 100.00 ebt cards for 50 to 75 dollars.

I think the signs of the screwing was when EBT was changed to allow users to purchase prepared foods

Suddenly the rotisserie chicken, premade sandwiches and pizzas were labeled ebt accepted.

Now you can buy fast food with an EBT card

setting up ebt as the interim currency for all? no cash, no credit/bank cards, only gov't ebt for all transactions?

you get paid in electronic credits to a gov't managed account. from which you finance your life.

Why not? ebt/snap already has a huge footprint, familiarity, and infrastructure.

rename it/ brand it 'cool', market it, and make it universal. The Go Card, with biometric security features...
