Christians We Need To Bear Fruits, Faith Is Dead Without Works
Hello brothers and sisters, we need to bear fruit. The tree that doesn't bear fruit will be cut down and thrown into the furnace. To be saved you must confess your sins to the LORD and TURN FROM YOUR SINS. We must not hold the TRUTH and continue to go on sinning willfully without truly repenting and turning from our sin or else we will be like the unprofitable servant. If we believe in Jesus Christ and do not what he asks us and bear fruit then our faith is in vain.

Ask yourself, are you bearing fruit? Do you live differently since you have accepted Jesus, or are still doing the same things before you accepted him?

We must be a light unto the world so that others may see Jesus Christ within us by how we live.

Do not grow weary brothers and sisters, while we are awaiting for our Lord's return make it a burden to spread gospel and tell others about Jesus and your testimony on how you came to Jesus Christ.

I love you brothers and Sister, Have a blessed day in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Be subtle as a serpent and gentle as a dove. The great commission is simply for believers to plant seeds while practicing what they preach. When approaching people read only from the New Testament. Focus on Jesus words or you will be planting mingled seed. Do not preach Paul, Peter or anyone else of whom none can save.

Re: Christians We Need To Bear Fruits, Faith Is Dead Without Works
The ten virgin parable IS for the Church today.

We know this because the Lord said so!

"Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins..." [Matt.25:1]

Notice the Lord didn't say, "the kingdom of Israel is likened to ten virgins..."

Who are the ones that make up the kingdom of heaven?

All who acknowledge and confess the Lord, have repented from sin and are DOING THE WILL OF GOD

The Lord said,

"...Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." [Matt 3:2]

These words are for us.

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." [Matt.7:21]

These words again are for us.

Of the ten virgins we read that,

"...five of them were wise, and five were foolish." [Matt.25:2]

The wise, who have oil, are those who hear what the Lord says in His Word and DO IT.

While the foolish hear the very same Word and DO NOT DO IT.

Hearing the Word and NOT doing it, is what it means to NOT have oil!

"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man..." [Matt.7:24]

"And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them NOT, shall be likened unto a foolish man..." [Matt.7:26]

The very thought of being responsible for what they do or do not do, scares many Christians!

They don't want to take responsibility for there actions.

They want to believe without doing!

This is what demons do!

"...demons believe - and tremble." [James 2:19]

The truth is: Believing IS doing!

The Holy Spirit inspired words of James will not go away!

"Faith without works is dead..." [James 2:20]

"...a man is justified BY WORKS, AND NOT BY FAITH ONLY." [James 2:24]

Some have chosen to twist Paul's letters to come up with a doctrine that absolves them from any responsibility for their works.

"...the dead were judged according to their works..." [Rev.20:12]

Do we really believe that God will judge to hell the spiritually dead for their works and not us who claim to have eternal life?

If we have eternal life we WILL produce works.

OUR WORKS are the tangible evidence that we have eternal life, that the Holy Spirit is working in us, that we have oil, and that we are wise.

Re: Christians We Need To Bear Fruits, Faith Is Dead Without Works
The ritual deeds of the Law are referring to circumcision, burnt offerings, sin offerings, peace offerings and drink offerings.

All these rituals of the Law have been fulfilled in Christ Jesus.

The Apostle Paul didn't want the saints to put themselves under the bondage of practicing them anymore, after the resurrection of Christ!

For he said,

"Knowing that a man is not justified by the [ritual] works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the [ritual] works of the law, for by the [ritual] works of the law no flesh shall be justified. [Gal. 2:16]

We are still expected, however, to fulfill the Law of loving one another.

We can do this when we receive the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.

"...for he who loves another has fulfilled the law...any other commandment are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbour as yourself. Love does no harm to a neighbour; therefore love is the fulfilment of the law." [Rom.13:8-10]

It's through love for the neighbour that living faith in Christ is expressed!

It's through love for the neighbour that the righteousness of God is practised!

Let me now expand on those scriptures that so many are using to reject the very idea, that the works of faith have anything to do with us qualifying for the Rapture.

"Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the [rituals of the] whole law.

"You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by [the rituals of the] law; you have fallen from the [Spirit of] grace.

For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love."[Gal.5:2-6]

If we ain't loving, our faith ain't working!!!

The "hope of righteousness" in the above verse, is referring to having the hope of receiving our glorified bodies for persevering in doing good to others, Day by Day!

"To those who seek glory, honor and immortality by perseverance in doing good, he will pay back eternal life." [Rom.2:7]

Apostate Pastors and Teachers, inspired by demons, are trying very hard to twist Paul's words to mean the exact opposite of what he's actually saying!

In another place Paul said:

"For you have been delivered by grace through trusting, and even this is not your accomplishment but God’s gift. You were not delivered by your own actions; therefore no one should boast. For we are of God’s making, created in union with the Messiah Yeshua for a life of good actions already prepared by God for us to do." [Eph.2:8-10][CJB]

The ability to believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and God is a gift given to us by the Lord Himself. Without this belief the Holy Spirit cannot dwell in us! And if He's not in us we don't have the power to live right! When we do acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Lord and God, the Holy Spirit starts to dwell in us and continually inspires us to refrain from doing evil, and to start doing good! This is how we start to receive eternal life now, in preparation for the translation of our bodies from mortality to immortality, when the Lord comes!

Sinning is not only what you avoid to do, but what you also fail to do:

Ezekiel 16:49 Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.

Re: Christians We Need To Bear Fruits, Faith Is Dead Without Works
The work of God is believing. Now some say that is too simple? When the scripture tells us that believing is the work of God, it is one of the greatest gifts God bestows upon us.
Let's understand the context.
Because you believe then your fruit will be all that is good.
Because you believe, you are selfless and considerate.
Because you believe, you WANT to cloth and feed the window and orphan.
Because you believe, you understand what the mercy and grace of God means and you will show that mercy and grace to believers AND unbelievers.

And those who see your belief will sing praises to God.

So, how do you believe, every second? Sorry, not in this life time.
So, how do we grow in belief? By trusting in Him and allowing the Holy Spirit to work with you as the special believer that you are; sons and daughters of God, realize your value to God.
The times of unbelief are when we are weak. We become like we once were.
Yes, believing is WORK.
I don't think we realized how much work believing is? I do not think that many believers understand they are accountable for their actions, therefore, they do not experience the growth in Love as expeditiously as those who do. The discipline of the God will come; What Father does not discipline His children?
If you do or do not agree with what I have posted, please, at the least test it with scripture.

Peace.

You need only accept Christ as savior. That's all there is to it.

The rest of that going to Church and praying and whatever else is just stuff that people made up. Christ said you can stop all that nonsense and simply believe in Him.

Yes.

For He tells us that the Comforter will convict the world of sin - BECAUSE THEY DO ***NOT*** BELIEVE.

Here it is in a nutshell. He told the woman caught in adultery "From NOW, go and sin NO MORE".

Are you BELIEVING Him?

If so, YOU will STOP committing adultery.

BELIEVING leads us to make/do as He commands.

12 "...that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness." [2 Thess.2:12]

All those that believe the truth practice righteousness.

All those that don't believe the truth enjoy practicing unrighteousness and will be condemned to hell!

Don't be deceived, for "Even the demons believe—and tremble![James 2:19]", and will still end up in hell!

Practicing righteousness, that is, DOING WORKS, is the only proof we have that our faith is alive!

"But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works." [James 2:18]

Show me.

The Rich Young Ruler

(Matthew 19:16-30; Mark 10:17-31)

18And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 19And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. 20Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. 21And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. 22Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. 23And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. 24And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! 25For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 26And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved? 27And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

28Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. 29And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, 30Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

Not a commandment to all, just an instruction to the rich guy who could not bear to lose all is possessions of which he had many.

Jesus did say not to worry about the kinds of clothes you wear or what you would eat because if you believed and prayed all you need will be provided.

5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Thank you so much for posting this! I love you, too! God bless you for reminding our family in Christ that while we are saved by grace, our works are the result of our changed heart. If our actions don't change, then we are holding out on God and depriving ourselves from saving grace.

Christianity doesn't do very well as a morality motivator.

Most Christians see their faith as a 'get out of jail free' card, where they don't feel obligated to live a moral life because the scriptures themselves indicate that merely embracing Jesus and repenting washes all your misdeeds away.

So if you cannot DO it, shut up and sit down.

Christianity doesn't do very well as a morality motivator.

Most Christians see their faith as a 'get out of jail free' card, where they don't feel obligated to live a moral life because the scriptures themselves indicate that merely embracing Jesus and repenting washes all your misdeeds away.

Know them by their works.

Look what Jesus commanded of his disciples.

If they say Jesus is Lord, but do not do as HE commanded, they are liars.

Cut their tongue out.

Re: Christians We Need To Bear Fruits, Faith Is Dead Without Works

If however, they should repent of their error and agree to do his commands, then they may be forgiven.

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”

22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.[a]

23 “Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24 As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold was brought to him. 25 Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.

26 “At this the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’ 27 The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.

28 “But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver coins.[c] He grabbed him and began to choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he demanded.

29 “His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it back.’

30 “But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. 31 When the other servants saw what had happened, they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened.

32 “Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33 Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ 34 In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.

35 “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”
