I'm that piece of crap. For some reason plants and myself don't get along. That is going to be the next step in my development. I've even gone to school for it too, still anything green near me dies unless it is money.

I agree! With aquaponics and vertical gardening there really is no excuse. Space is not an issue and with aquaponics you don't even need dirt! I can grow all my family needs in my small backyard.

YES! I agree with you OP, but this is a condescending delivery. People will respond defensively when insulted. I do grow most of my food, and raise ducks for meat and eggs. My husbands hunts and fishes for all of our meat. If our crop fails or the hunt doesn't pan out, we choose hunger over the tainted store food usually. And when we give in it's organic only, and selectively even there. I agree, but people won't come check it out if you hurt their feelings about it. A wise man once said, "If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, or they will kill you..." Speak carefully, if your intention is to be helpful.

You are very right about this. I'm lazy and that is the only excuse I have at this point. We have an 1ac and could grow enough for us and our street. I've been watching a few video's and this one has me slightly inspired.

I am grateful for anyone posting or reading here. Thank you- And it's not always just a case of laziness, some people live in apartments or work three jobs and whatnot. I've found that growing food seriously takes hours everyday, and many people are entangled in situations that don't allow for it. It's a terrible oppression, and people deserve some compassion. They were put there, dependent on the industrial society for everything, TOTALLY on purpose. Lend a hand, share your yard with someone. Or help route people to farms. Insulting them doesn't help...

Yes! I have seen this video before. These people are very inspiring. You just need to get organized and jump in. There is nothing more rewarding than gardening. The feeling of going out into the yard and pulling something out of the ground and eating it for dinner is totally gratifying.

I think it's really a hard pill for some folks to swallow, ya know? Many people think that if something can be bought, and is labeled as a "food" that it must be safe right? To acknowledge it isn't and go back, is to acknowledge that for real, there are people out there that would massively market cheap poison to everyone. It hurts to understand that.
