It is definitely getting to geezerdom and senility.

Started when actual newspapers started to fold because of the economics of the business.

Today, the New York Times which used to be one of the most respected newspapers in the world is now nothing more than a liberal rag.

There is no real balance in the news anymore. Differences of opinion are mocked and the writers or commentators are called idiots or worse.

Journalism used to mean providing the facts and separating fact pieces from opinion pieces. No longer.

Add to that the fact that people do not do any in-depth reading - most get their news off the TV or the internet which is unreliable at best.

Then we have a whole generation who think that Comedy Central actually provides news instead of comedy.

So yes, it is pretty dead.
