The problem is...it's not THEIR money. If they were footing the bill for the travel costs and extra security out of pocket...I would not care. But they require all this added security that costs the taxpayers millions and millions of dollars. What part of that do you not get?

When go on vacation, I pay for it myself. I do not expect my next door neighbor to help foot the bill. By using tax payer dollars, that is exactly what they are doing.

There is a big difference here. This is not private, personal dollars being used. This is tax money...collected from people that are struggling with rising food and energy costs. How is it remotely ok to do this?
