Where someone pretends to want to know what you like, when really it's just a platform to tell the world what they like, seeking confirmation that they are indeed as cool as they thought they were......then others who dig that juvenile shit see it as a chance to follow suit, and follow up with small 1 - 3 item lists, sometimes commenting on anothers choice which matches their own, and mutual 'cooldom' is recognised, i suspect these people will then disappear afk for a shifty wank at this point.

greenday where great but lost their true edge with American idiot. And same when Red hot chilli peppers broke mainstream, John Frusciante was right about the band becoming what they where not...John Frusciante has released some odd but great solo work by the way.

I listen to many different types of music. Everything from bluegrass to death metal. It depends on what mood I'm in. If I have to choose two bands I will always listen to no matter what mood I'm in, they would be Nektar and Petra.
