Was Jesus AKA Joseph of Arimathea and is he buried in Glastonbury?
Sometimes the truth and the proof was right under our noses so it appears.
A just released book, Jesus Mary Joseph, reveals Jesus survived the crucifixion and that "Joseph of Arimathea" was a pseudonym and title he assumed.

The research pointing to the fact that Jesus assumed a new identity after an aborted crucifixion makes total sense in light of the histories of the Holy Grail and legends from the South of France. The author says,

"Arimathea was a title that Jesus assumed. In biblical Hebrew/Aramaic, Arimathea (aryeh met [le-]Yahmeans), means: “The lion dead to the lord.” This title suggests a transformation in identity, something on the order of, “The king is dead, long live the Christ.” The symbol of the lion was emblematic of the tribe of Judah, the kingly line from which Jesus descended through his father Joseph. After the crucifixion, Jesus relinquished a political mission and any hope of securing his dynastic inheritance to make way for a more divine mission as Christ and faithful husband to Mary Magdalene. This title, therefore, was a proclamation of his divinity over his dynastic (bloodline) destiny, giving way to a more realistic and even more meaningful purpose. Jesus assumed his father’s name, Joseph, to maintain the connection to his roots and paternal legacy.""

Who knew? The Templars and the Cistercians who hid clues in La Queste de Saint Graal.

After the first few sentences what BS!

You tell me, how could Jesus have assumed Joseph of Arimethea identity when after Jesus resurrected Joseph was still living

Try checking out Josephus Flavius, a historian at that time, whose records were authenticated from the Roman Caesar and is other historians.

If you REALLY want to research something try you tube Rev Michelle Hopkins video where she documents an archeologist who accidentally found Golgotha above when excavating caves below and found cut (as in sliced) rock above him, traces of blood that he had tested for DNA and there is only ONE parent DNA.

"...the vast majority of scholars since the early 1800s have said that this quotation is not by Josephus, but rather is a later Christian insertion in his works. In other words, it is a forgery, rejected by scholars."

The Gospel testimony in Mark and the other Synoptics about the identity of Joseph of Arimathea was pure fiction, likely crafted to fulfill the prophesy of Isaiah.
Also.

"In this groundbreaking book, Dennis R. MacDonald offers an entirely new view of the New Testament gospel of Mark. The author of the earliest gospel was not writing history, nor was he merely recording tradition, MacDonald argues. Close reading and careful analysis show that Mark borrowed extensively from the Odyssey and the Iliad and that he wanted his readers to recognize the Homeric antecedents in Mark’s story of Jesus. Mark was composing a prose anti-epic, MacDonald says, presenting Jesus as a suffering hero modeled after but far superior to traditional Greek heroes."

Joseph of Arimathea

According to the Gospels, he donated his tomb for the body of Jesus after the Jesus' Crucifixion.

According to the Talmud, he was the younger brother of Joachim, the father of Mary, that is, he was Mary's uncle and Jesus' great-uncle.

If you are referencing this:
"For many, the concept that Jesus went to visit, work and live for a few months or years during the “lost years” of Jesus’ youth is not totally out of question. The Talmud attests that Joseph of Arimathea was the son of Matthat (Mathat) ben Levi of Arimathea, and the younger brother of the Joachim/Heli, the father of Mary. If this were true, he was the uncle to Mary. By all evidence, Joseph the father of Jesus died while Jesus was a child, or at best in his teens. Under Jewish law, upon the death of a husband, the wife and children are placed in the custody of the next male kin of the husband. Therefore, Joseph of Arimathea would have become the guardian of Mary or paranymphos of Mary and her son, Yahshua, very early in His life."

This piece of the Talmud was written in 500 CE, 370 years after Christ and by who? Someone making up a story to identify who Joseph was, much in the same way that the Book of Nicodemus makes up a history for him.

been here to long, I've seen the English British try millions of times to claim history by means of false books education countless other shameful means.

let me be clear, There is Absurdly nothing in history nor in the English language or its people that connect anything to do with Jesus. or the middle East.

the English always try to connect their dots with history that has zero to them with them.

Yes I'm English and its such a shameful thing to see my own lads do.

"In the annals of the history of Wales, chroniclers referred to Joseph of Arimathea as Ilid. “There came with Bran the Blessed from Rome to Britain Arwystli Hen (Aristobulus the Aged), Ilid Cyndaf man of Israel (Joseph of Arimathea) and Mawan (Josephes son of Joseph).” Joseph is also referred to as Ilid in the Bardic ode, Cwydd to Saint Mary Magdalene." --excerpt Jesus Mary Joseph

There are legends of equal importance from Glastonbury, Ireland, and Iona.

Malmesbury’s writings on the antiquity of Glastonbury, a primary source of testimony on the legacy of Glastonbury, offer the following verse by a metrical writer:

Avallon is entered by a band of Twelve.
Joseph, Armathea’s flower, is chief of them.
And with his father cometh Josephes,
So to these Twelve Glastonia’s rights are given.

In the works of James Ussher, Archbishop of Armagh, Church of Ireland (1580-1665), known for his extensive research as a theologian, there’s reference (vol. vi) to a legend that says that under the wisdom and advice of Joseph of Arimathea, learned from the teaching of King Solomon, Ireland was freed of the venomous reptiles (paganism).

Therefore, Joseph of Arimathea obviously ministering beyond the boundaries of Somerset.

Jesus survived the crucifixion with the help of Mary Magdalene.
This should shed some light on the topic.

Re: Was Jesus AKA Joseph of Arimathea and is he buried in Glastonbury?
Joseph of Arimathea was a metal merchant. Britain is rich in tin and copper. It is very likely that he was there and possibly Jesus, also.

It has been said that Jesus and Mary Magdaleine escaped to France after his persecution.

We will never know the truth about any of this, it has been systematically destroyed/hidden/stolen. The puzzle is missing too many pieces and there are extra pieces that don't belong to boot. All roads lead to Rome.

Re: Was Jesus AKA Joseph of Arimathea and is he buried in Glastonbury?
This is a Masonic theory.
I'll add my theory.
Josephus, Plutarchus and Philo wrote the Bible for Emperor Titus.
Josephus Flavius married his Herodian relative Mary III and or Mary IV.
His descendants came to France and later England to establish Flavian Christianity over the Mythric version in every Roman church.
