Finally some good news. I believe animals have souls but not the same as humans, and should be treated the same as humans with love and compassion. Animals sometimes act better than most humans which is pretty bad.

thanks, OP. you just made my day. so many people have worked so hard to make this happen.....all around the nation. so many e-mail messages sent to judges and lawmakers, so many phone calls to judges and lawmakers, so much grassroots effort of which i am happy i played a small part in it.

those who abuse animals are evil and there is a track record of these people abusing humans as well. no one can excuse this type of evil egregious behavior.

i love that the USA has done this! this makes me feel proud to be american and i haven't felt that way in awhile.
