Slackers like you never can see much. All you do is complain about things which have little actual significance.

Seattle is great for the young 30ish crowd. Lots going on, jobs, people, things to do.
Sort of hard to know your way around, traffic is terrible, if you can do the rails it's alright.

Nearly 20 high-rise cranes in the SOLU area alone. Rents going through the roof. Dntwn packed with shoppers and Japanese tourists-yea it's dying alright.

The old days when I could goof off in Belltown without having to worry about getting shot are long gone.

Re: Seattle...
Changed BIG after WTO, seems that riot was the high tide on culture there.

What do we see now? Paris Hilton clones in Fremont, Bellevue moving to Ballard, Lower Queen Anne's homes knocked down for mixed use apartment/retail, and The Blue Angels have become a Lake-East gig.

I left 10 years ago, but travel back once or twice a year- no longer the place it was, no culture, no cutting edge art, and crime like never before.

Pikes Market I believe is the only thing saving that town. Also the Ferry System. There are the few Kidnap countiers that cross the pond...
you can see the difference in class..
There is a song about it. I need to find it. Stay tuned.

Re: Seattle...
this new bridge has been being built for nearly 10 yrs. when the old bridge was closed it hurt 2 communities. south park and Georgetown. with access via 1st ave bridge which is closed often this left the 2 neighborhoods out of the way for visiting and growth. now there will be a new rush to see this new bridge in action.
