You are totally taking Ellen White out of context, to speak of a mere man, when she was actually speaking of the fallen angel himself, Satan. Not only that, but the masterful impersonation of Christ which Satan will do, he will have a light about him, trying to impersonate the Saviour. He will resemble Jesus Christ as depicted in Revelation 1:13-15.

Why will the elect not be deceived? The Scriptures. The manner in which Satan comes is not the manner in which Christ will come. Every eye shall see Christ when He comes. Not people here, and others there, but every single eye shall see Him.
