Am I the only one who thinks the idea of demons torturing people in hell is just silly?

People experience hell for the 1,000 year period, after that it is only the fallen angels that are in the fiery lake (the long version of hell) It appears to be the kind of place where Murphy's Law is in effect 10 times before you even get out the door to go to work. For an immortal, thirst, hunger and pain would be a change for the worse.
Isa:65:12:
Therefore will I number you to the sword,
and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter:
because when I called,
ye did not answer;
when I spake,
ye did not hear;
but did evil before mine eyes,
and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
Isa:65:13:
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD,

but ye shall be hungry:

but ye shall be thirsty:
