Windows 7 Updates - 1 GB Download? WTF?

Funny you mention it! I just upgraded a PC that I haven't used for longer than a month last night with a graphics card and I had 77 updates when I went to turn it off. I think it took about 30 minutes to update. What the hell is it updating??

Its windowz updates. They are full of alot of shit. :P

You do realize if you buy a fresh windows 8 laptop. It requires over 100 updates to get it to the point where you can finally go to the god forsaken app store and install windows 8.1..... Then you get to install atleast 5-10 more updates at this point... Not that I fucking use that garbage but I have to for customers all day long. :/

you can install linux alongside windows-give it a go its free and its easy-you can also access windows programs through a linux program called 'wine'..

Upgrade to Widows 8!

Slightly over 300 updates for Windows 7 from a fresh install. I re-installed my farther-in-laws laptop from scratch last week.

I turned my win7 updates off.

you must dislike the emotion-cons.
Them slow loads, page loads that is.

I just use zone alram, anti virus and anti spyware.
