Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27543566 [link to www.indystar.com] TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A couple whose bodies were found in a rural western Indiana home died this winter from hypothermia after they chose to live without electricity, authorities said. The Vigo County coroner ruled that the deaths of 51-year-old Daniel Young and 53-year-old Donna Young were accidental. Police found their bodies in late April, after a relative called concerned about their safety because no one answered the door at the home and they hadn't been heard from for an extended amount of time. Coroner Susan Amos told the Terre Haute Tribune-Star that she believes the Youngs died in February and that nothing unusual was found in toxicology tests. You can refuse electricity, but at least do have some sense. Build a fireplace. Please. |

Then, they take the loaded card home and slip it into the digital SmartPower in-home unit, which accepts the payment. The unit then keeps a running tabulation, and can display current power usage, average daily power usage, and even projects the amount of time left before more credits are needed. It lets the consumer know, up-to the minute, the amount of energy being used. |
