Is it a bad thing? Maybe... maybe not. I think the food stamps are a good thing. Anything that is a necessity for survival should be provided for to reduce crime, regardless of how the economy is doing.

Food, Water, Shelter, Transportation... I have no problem with those things becoming provided for.

As long as it doesn't lead to pollution and inevitable death as the cyclical consumption market economy is currently doing, we will all be okay.

Big government is so partitioned, and the banks are so secretive that nothing is centralized and their plan was already doomed to fail. We just need to provide what we can in an organized manner, and inform others of the current paradigm changes.

Buy less gas, we barely go anywhere as it is. Well just cut out a trip a week to the store or something.

I modified my old car to run on 3 cylinders and it got insane gas mileage. I might do that again.

We all have bicycles and aren't afraid to ride them. It's really nothing at all to ride a short 5 or 10 miles once you've been doing it for a couple weeks. The right bike helps.

I recommend something with some gears, 28-32mm tires, front and rear racks, fenders, a chain guard, and lights.

A mountain bike is absolutely the worst thing to ride for transportation besides a single speed huffy.

I'll save money!! Price for regular here is $1.39/L x 3.79 to make it a USG, and it comes out to $5.27. Typical price in this neck of the woods.

I burn used veggie oil 90-95% of the time and just use diesel to start and shut down.

If I have too I'll start making biodiesel to replace the diesel.

So far I have absolutely no competition for the oil in my area.

I'm in the process of rebuilding an older mountain bike I just picked up. It'll be done this weekend. Saved myself a lot of cash by rebuilding one as opposed to buying a new one. I live out in the sticks so I would actually prefer to bike. From here on out I'm only gonna drive if I have to haul something on the weekends, firewood, groceries, etc.

What kind of bike is it?

I hope it's a good quality mountain bike, and not a walmart bike. Something like Specialized Rock Hopper.

Walmart bikes will last about a month if that, and they ride heavy and ride like crap.

Just change the tires on it to road tires.

They are not intended for the road though, I recommend a good road bike. I have a really old Schwinn World from the 1980's that thing is way better than the walmart crap you buy in the store today

I will pay it, and raise prices on my customers to make up the difference, of course.
