I buy very little meat, but buy mostly fish, cheese, and eggs. I do most of my shopping at Aldi. My daughters go to Sav-A-Lot, which is like a warehouse store.
I eat a lot of peanut butter, and beans. They are good sources of protein.

Yogurt - homemade. bake the no-knead crusty artisanal bread that Pink Cat in a Telephone Hat posted - I do it about 3 times a month. Very cheap. Will provide a link to that wonderful thread. There is an Aldi's near by. I like their cheeses and some other stuff. Haven't bought any meat or fresh vegetables there. Maybe I'll get some of their yogurt, etc. In fact, maybe I'll just go on down there now.
