Cops Caught Thief Stealing My Stuff. Should I Press Charges?

Yes you should charge him for stealing your stuff he will be sent to court next week for the crime what he did was wrong and by the way i am glad that you are safe thanks to your neighbour hood friend that saves the day.

If you actually think that since you got your stuff back there's no harm, no foul you need to press charges for the next victim.

Don't press charges as revenge, do it to keep everyone else safe.

He broke the law, let him fry for it. If you don't.....the theif will just get bolder and hopefully walk into an armed victims' house. Also, when your neighbor gets ripped off because of your inability to act, I hope he at least comes over and kicks you in the nuts.

You owe it to the neighborhood to press charges. It seems just stealing should be enough to arrest and charge him, but I guess the police need the complaint of a victim like you to motivate them to go to all the trouble of arresting him and charging him. Maybe they think that's too much work so don't let them get away with that. Press charges since the cops seem to think it's necessary.
