As I remember it was a great ride...took it from Arizona to Florida with 3 kids and back to Arizona...and up till the divorce drove it from Arizona to Colorado to Kansas to Oklahoma to Texas and back to Arizona, EVERY SUMMER and several trips in the Winter...A year ago he moved to Washington and is still driving it... Had a Honda Accord and hated it.. Hope that helps Spinning on the Pause...Rewind |

Plus Toyota have a non interference engine, which means, if your timing belt does break, all you need is a new timing belt and not engine work. I have had 5 Honda's never had a transmission issue with any of them. |

Buy nothing that is union made in America until they get their fucking minds right. Dude, an American care, made by American union workers? Where have you been? The whole damn thing is full of parts made overseas. Engines, tires, body parts. Come on. |

Quoting: Tuko I work in the automotive repair business, and most American vehicles, including Government Motors vehicles are still crap for the most part. Even after they apologized for making crap since the 80's, and promised to get better, are still shit. And Honda and Toyota are both built here in the states and employ American workers. GM and Ford make good full size trucks/SUVs, but that's about it. |

Quoting: Tuko i used to think the same way but these ar,e global companys people all over the world own stock in all of these car companies. i wouldnt doubt their are more foriegn cars made in the USA than fords and gm remember chrysler is owned by an italian car maker now Fiat.i sold chevy and ford for over ten years . i sold toyota for 2 i hate to say it but Toyota is the best car maker. no one died from the gas pedal recall that i am aware of. gm killed a dozen at least with the latest recal not to mention fords pinto and chevy trucks from the seventies.i would buy a toyota they are number one for reliability . honda has dropped to number nine overqll. ford would have been last if it wasnt for land rover.that being said i own a dodge caravan that breaks down all the time but i am good a fixing cars just put a rack and pinion on it. that should have been a recall as well the rack and pinions go out on caravans a lot ours went out with only 39000 miles. Hondas are harder to find and have multiple issues. Both toyota and honda are great cars i prefer the looks and style of the hondas by far .now imsell used only and i can tell you toyotas hold their value better and when selling toyota i never saw so many 400,000 mile trade ins it really bummed me out . we got excited when a ford or chevy would have over 250,000 miles toyota puts them to shame.if your planning.on buying new it doesnt matter really. also i couldnt believe how many customers would say they never had to do a thing to thier toyota.if you make a good living and trade cars in every 4 to 6 years and your buying new it doesnt matter any brand will do 200,000 nowdays even chrysler.but you will have more repairs on anything besides toyota but i recommend toyota it will be easier to find what you want used and they sell quicker take ot from me i have sold 1000s of new and used cars and hundreds of mini vans. suburbans are excellent vehicles as well we would see three hundred thousand miles on those on ocassion as well but those were the older models with the 5.7 . the newer ones last a long time still but the 5.3 liter sorry typing in the dark i got off in my paragraph too tired to fix it.in summary toyota will hold its value better the honda looks better and any brand new van will do 200000 miles buy what you like .if you plan on driving it till it goes to the junk yard get a toyota and put 300000 miles on it. if you plan on trading in less than 7 get the honda they start having expensive issues after 150000 miles. |
