I was just wondering from true Futbal fans.

I saw one person mention that, but none of the Brits seem to be mentioning that on the Daily Mail.

Futbal connoisseurs let me know what you think.

I watched a hard fought match. Miserable conditions, both teams wanted a win. You could say that maybe around 85mins or so both slowed down somewhat in pursuit of goal. Could have just been exhausted. :)
Tim Howard had several outstanding saves keeping the score so close

No I don't think so.Look at the big favorites that did not advance:Spain,England,Italy. I think Germany has to play much better now to stand a chance against Algeria. The germans were playing not to lose.

So far, it's only Americans speaking. We need foreigners who actually watch the international soccer and know all these players and teams.

It seems weird they slaughtered Portugal but not us.

The coach also replaced their best players with younger, more inexperienced players, but he might have done that to conserve their strength.

Jurgen also hugged their coach in a very 'Thanks for being cool' way, but it may have been because he was on the German team in the 90's, and Jermaine Jones was almost on the German team as well. I believe there is another 'German' on the US team as well. Maybe camaraderie?

I hope Germany played to win because us Americans are feeling pretty good about ourselves right now =)

I think for sure it wasnt 100%. Neither of the teams didnt play full. I expected a draw this usually happens specially if teams "knows" each other. There is Klinsman, Vogts and Herzog(ex Austrian international) on American bench and Joachim and Klinsman used to worked together. But Germany as a team got nothing to fear. They showed the most in my opinion so far and will dominate Algerians, easy 5-0.

The pitch was in a very pity condition due to the weather. That was the main reason for this low match.

In addition no one wanted to lose, that's why the game was very tactical.

The term "football" can get pretty confusing when you'r an american.

Just an FYI there are lots if American soccer fans who regularly watch & follow International soccer.

If you don't want to hear from Americans because u believe we will be biased in this scenario that's a different statement. However, many of us follow Bundesliga, La Liga & EPL and know these German players well

a very wet slippery game. Hardly any official calls..

seemed kinda rigged. Any way, we move on.
