We cannot assume anything for this poor child, because it is unique for their situation even though some of us can relate to it. We don't know, and I am not prying, what has happened in this person's personal life, losses, etc., but the best response is to exercise and keep busy. Action precipitate feelings, i.e., sing a happy song, you'll feel better immediately.

Reading Psalms always helped me in these kinds of times.

Friend used e-cigs instead of psych drugs to relax/feel better. The drugs made her suicidal; nicotine has no known side effects (other than over claimed addiction like caffeine is addictive)

Make sure u tell your doctor on Mon. And if the doctor doesnt suggest it then ask him about grief counseling, it helped me. It takes time.

I get there too the world is ugly. I weep for my posterity but as a man I have to man up and fight. You are nit lost. There us hope from many of us hell bent on saving our republic smile. :)

The way I look at it, is either a solid yes or a solid no.

It never always in-between, there cannot be one for anyone.

Do the best you can using the abilities you have to work with by yourself.

My friend was so depressed she set up and appointment with a therapist . I told her to go to the store and get vitamin d3 and take a lot. In less than 24 hours she was happy and canceled her appointment. When sad the first thing u should do is up vit. D3 intake.

I finally talked to my doctor and now take meds. For me, they are a life saver and I only take 1/2 per day. I even told him and he said if it works keep it up.

Magnesium deficiency is part of vit d3 deficiency .. Take an Epsom salt bath with lots of d3. U won't be depressed at drs appointment

I like the jogging suggestion - if can't jog, then walk, walk, walk, walk, walk.

Also, can make a list of things you are grateful for, even if it's things as simple as I woke up this morning.

Last, go find someone to help or talk to. You will brighten their day and in return it will bless you. You don't have to go far for that. There are so many people that would love just a smile.

And I said a prayer.

Now, go get your shower (because if you're depressed, I know you haven't showered - heh) and get out there.

Dayum Opie. That's awful. Did you ever go for any counseling? Some things are just too horrible to handle on our own. Please see someone who can help. Sometimes meeting others who have been through a similar experience can help in not feeling so alone.
I don't know if you're a person of faith but a lot of churches offer free counseling and support groups.
We never know what tomorrow holds, so who knows, maybe you'd meet someone to share things in your life with.

I recall your thread from last week about someone trying to break into your house. That's like putting salt in the wounds. It's Friday. A good day IMO to start change. The you'll have the weekend to think about it.
Maybe start by driving around some neighborhoods that you might like and jot down some numbers or take a flyer(many realtors put those on properties) that have the stats and prices on the house or property.

Go back to your house and go on line and look at some of the houses/properties in those areas you are interested in. You'll be surprised how it will lift your spirits just to start looking.

Now notice I didn't say "go back home" as I feel you are becoming less attached to the "house" you're in now. I'm sure your lovely lady would not want you hanging on. Just at least as Ms. super duper said, take a shower and just get out for a bit and look. No pressure, just look and research some.

Me too. Even after a stressful day at work I'll take a little different route home just to drive and listen to the radio.

Crying does a good job of cleaning your eyes.
So don't fight it, just let the tears flow.
I do hope that this sadness you feel will pass soon.

Excellent ideas. Walking is great, or any kind of mild exercise. I know it's not for everyone, but I've been enjoying QiGong recently.

And every night I write my affirmations and a list of a least 10 things I'm grateful for.

Its understandable why you feel that way then. My sympathies to you. Lost someone recently too. It was very rough. I was the one who told you about the panic attacks. I hope you're feeling better today!!! Just remember to take it minute by minute and realize that our minds can make us feel like there's no hope when all we have is hope and life is great. Only moments are bad!

I get this way very rarely.

It is usually inexplicable and it feels like I don't have it in me to drag my sorry ass through another day.

It always passes within a day or so.

I can usually help it get better by getting away from people and spending some solo time doing something I love, like reading or writing or even just watching a movie that's sadder than my existence LOL

Do you have empath abilities, by any chance, or suspect you might?

I always have been highly sensitive to other people's emotions and the general vibe of the world in general.

Sometimes taking some time for myself and sealing myself away from outside emotional influences is the best way to reset myself emotionally...

Yup. Getting out of the house helps a lot.
