Well, actually, the reason I have solar is to be independent, but this doesn't hurt... I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

Every household in USA should have free energy devices ... like a decade ago. So , these are the chronicles of a so-called advanced society in the land of the free? Is it just me or has the "land of the free" become an empty marketing ploy? ... No wonder why even corporate america is leaving the "Corporation of the United States". |

In the USA all coal fired plants are scrubbed and clean. They only release the trace gas CO2 which is vital for life on Earth. Down here in Texas I can see that mountain in Mexico obliterated by Mexican coal fired plants that have no scrubbers or any other kind of emission control. The USA buys that electricity. This isn't about the environment. Its about destroying the middle class and turning American into another Mexico. A land of Billionaires and paupers. BTW you are designated as a future pauper. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 59300051 United States 07/30/2014 06:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I run my entire home with solar and wind generators. I've got a bank of 8 deep cycle batteries. Solar is the primary source and two wind generators are the shady day back up. As a final back up I have a Honda 2000 suitcase generator that will run a 60 Amp charger to top off the bank. I use 12 volt appliances and inverters for everything 120. There is no need to be dependent on the electric company. I put my system together for a couple grand. It's long since paid for itself. |

The in fine print "You may know an increase in your rates. This is due to our summer pricing." Electric doubled in price due to the heat, because why? Because people run their A/C and electric companies are scumbags.
