Why do fat women wear tight fitting clothes?

They're getting fatter and trying to wear the clothes that fit last month or last year.

Being fat has hidden expenses. Continually purchasing clothes that fit becuase one has grown out of the old clothes is one of them. The lifespan of the clothing when purchasing for fit is shorter than purchasing to replace worn out items. Poor people are more likely to be obese so even less money for properly fitting clothes.

Its closer to naked than regular-fit and loose-fit clothing because it reveals body shape and curves.

Probably because they can't find any that fit. "Plus size" isn't exactly plus size anymore and shirts run smaller and smaller every year.

No SHIT, fat people are unsightly and tight close just makes them look worse, much worse!

I mostly blame rap/hip hop videos.

This seems like a recent phenomenon. When I was a youth, fat women (and there were MUCH FEWER of them then) wore loose-fitting mu-mu type outfits that my dad called "elephant pajamas".

Those aren't called tight, they are called form fitting. It's just a nicer way to say we don't carry the size.

And shorts need to be a privilege, not a right...

My first answer would be: Denial.

My second answer is more of a question itself:
If you were fat enough, wouldn't everything be tight fitting?

Two of my daughters worked in retail for a while at different stores. These women would come in and ASK for sizes of clothes that were 3 and 4 (or more) sizes obviously too small. When they tried them on they would throw them back at my daughters complaining they were sized wrong at the factory. Then they'd do it again, and again, and again until they stormed out fuming how incompetent the workers were, the store was, the factory was. It's everyone fault but yours for not taking care of yourself.

I hate to mention this but there were two races in particular that were the ONLY ones that did this. None of them were of Anglo-Saxon European, Asian, any Slavic or Nordic decent. It really poisoned my daughters deep. Thanks all of you.

One could always start up a "Fat Girl's" clothing store in which all the sizes were shifted in order to appease their delusions (i.e. a 14 could be a 3, a 15 could be a 4, and so on).

There's money to be made on this particular brand of mental illness.
