MIT researchers can listen to your conversation by watching your potato chip bag

THis is nothing new. The idea has been used for decades... Shine a laser on a window or some item in a room and the bounce can be read back and demodulated to produce what ever sound is going on in a room. Laser acoustics... I know it's not exactly the same, but light reading movement for sound reproduciton is nothing new. Ony the idea of using a cmaera vs laser... and that seems like a small step and not a large one.
