Anonymous Coward User ID: 56338692 United States 09/17/2014 02:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It is actually a pretty common respiratory virus. its symptoms are mild except for children who have asthma. It was first discovered in 1962. I noticed that the newscasts grouped their reports of this virus AFTER they reported on the continuing problems with the Ebola infections...Gotta keep the sheep in a state of perpetual fear... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 56338692 United States 09/17/2014 03:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't think it is too dangerous. Just effects some bad and if it does go to the hospital. Now if these were ebola cases? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47899682 You have to let it run it's course like any virus. When i was a kid, i would get a cold or flu.. My mother was a nurse and she would never take me to the hospital for such a thing. She would let my immune system fight it. ..And anyway, there is not much you can do, antibiotics dont work on viruses since they are not bacterial. |

It just sounds serious because of its technical name, "ENTEROVIRUS" then they add, 'D68' hmmm, well, it must be serious, lol. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56338692 Only a problem for kids with asthma. So if it's such a problem, people need to ask why so many kids these days have asthma. |

So what's the end game then? If it's not killing them, what is it doing? Why give thousands of kids a virus just to give them breathing trouble and sneezing? Yes that's a big enough of a dick move right there, but what's the POINT? |

Tiddlywinks User ID: 9168707 Canada 09/17/2014 10:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | SOOOOOOO not doom!!! This is just a COLD! seriously people, it irritates me to no end how skittish people are over a cold. Has anyone died this year from Enterovirus? Nope. What you say??? It's a cold, a cold that has a lesser chance of turning fatal than your typical influenza strain. |

I cant count how many times I have had to start taking my inhaler again due to a ooooh wait for it "dreaded cold" same with my son. He every year needs to take a inhaler at least once with a cold. ITS A COLD people, we get 5-6 of them a year. You'd think we'd be used to it by now. |
