Do you think each persons soul existed before they were born into the body that they are in now?

God knew you long before you were born!

I existed before being born on earth.

It is funny ,Ive had these exact thoughts before many times before. I have never been able to reach an answer that satisfise me . some things perhaps we are just not meant to know or understand.

when in a body the soul is the body, meaning it only knows what the body it resides in knows at any given time.the brain takes time to make connections,so soul memory cannot be stored within it as when you are born the brain still does not even have a clue about any thing and so cannot understand the complex memory's from many lifetimes of experience,and it is posibly ignored due to infant impulses {food sleep food poo etc etc},,,its only later on in life that you understand some of the things your soul tells you ...we call it intuition.

think of it this way you can only make sense of the soul memory from previous life's as a human when you are a human,memories involving other species have totally different thought processes and make no sense to a human brain.

Would you wait in a mother womb for 9 boring months as a spirit?. Don't be silly, they can enter the baby just before the baby were born, and they can enter right after the baby born before the baby cried.

I believe that as well but still begs the question, where the hell was the soul before the current body? Not existing, "heaven", in another body?

We have always been and always will be. When we are not incarnate on earth, we are on the "other side." What I believe anyway.

I have a memory from before I was 'born.' take it for what it's worth.

I was in an extremely pleasant place, looking and walking around. it basically looked like a pristine version of nature, as I remember it. as I stood there, a voice came from behind me, saying "I need you to go somewhere, for me."
I replied, "But I want to stay here, I like it, here."
then the voice said, "I know you do."

at that point, I turned around to face the direction that the voice came from, and the memory ends there.

I know it doesn't sound like much but, it's in my memory.

Just existing in another plane, or "dimension", whatever. Infinite multi-verses, infinite realities, infinite existances. One chooses to come to this specific existence for reasons which are not known while here, but one chose to have this experience for a reason before they came here. Sure, one can come back to this very existence for another round if one wishes, but it's not necessary - one could just choose to experience some other existence. I believe I chose to come here, and, even though I have no real clue as to why I came, I may as well see it through to the natural conclusion, no matter how bad it may get at times. I knew what was in store for me, yet still chose to give it a go - no turning back now, just hope I will have learnt the lesson I chose to learn.
