Very old and what the article doesn't say is that the group who does actually own the site actually named it "lucifer" after the Vatican sub-contracting....as a dig at the Church.

Actually it's an acronym for a camera on the Large Binocular Telescope which is NOT THE VATICAN'S TELESCOPE! The Vatican's telescope is called VATT. Read the link Hydra posted.

Yes from my understanding Lucifer is the star of the morning and Jesus Christ is the Morning Star. Lucifer is the light bearer and Jesus is the Light. Lucifer is also Venus when it appears in the morning before the Sun rises an some people feel the Sun is Jesus because it brings all things to life. On June 6, 2012 Venus transited the Sun and that means change is coming. Lucifer is also the Pineal Gland and the element Copper. Lucifer is only mentioned one time in the Bible yet Satan is mentioned multiple times as being the adversary or deceiver and many feel Satan is Saturn who the ELite actually worship. You can see Saturn cubes everywhere. Lucifer is fallen from Heaven but becomes Venus in the morning or Vesper in the evening when people see it. IMO Lucifer/Venus and Satan/Saturn are not the same at all although that is what we have been told from cradle to grave. If the Vatican see's Lucifer/Venus doing something odd they will go to their underground bunkers so they don't get their asses kicked. If Lucifer brings knowledge by changing the pineal gland to where people will recognize what is truly happening they will learn the truth. The Bible said people will be changed in a blink of an eye and also that the truth will be known.

This is as if I live at Chiefland astronomy village and my next door neighbor decided to name his telescope's new camera SATAN, yet the story gets twisted and I get blamed for naming MY telescope Satan when it's really my neighbor who named his camera SATAN. But somehow, I get blamed because we both pay into the same home owners association. That is literally what this story is like, yet the lie just keeps getting repeated over and over and now it's "common knowledge" even though it's false.

Lucifer is part of the Large Binocular Telescope, which happens to be right next to the Vatican Observatory on Mt. Graham in Tucson. That's right, the Vatican has an observatory in Arizona, manned by Jesuit astronomers. Now its next-door neighbor is named for the Devil.

Graham in South Eastern Arizona. The Vatican-owned Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope (VATT) is right next door.

Unfortunately the lie has already gone around so many times that it has become engrained in peoples minds. It's just "common knowledge" now even though it's false. Someone replied to me in this thread claiming it's true, even though their link supports exactly what you and I have said. It's just a commonly accepted "fact" so no one actually bothers to do any amount of reading to see if it's actually true or not. They don't even check their own links and articles to see if they conflict with what they're saying.

It belongs to THE SAME observatory! It's like saying that a woman, a man and a child have all been living in the same house for all their lives, but they are not family :)

I thought the church purchased the telescope from a company in Germany, and they are the ones in fact that named it? I don't think the Church would go out of its way to blatantly anger its congregation(meaning its income source).

Does that look like the same house to you? It's not. Two different facilities, same mountain. MGIO is the home owners association (as per my analogy).
