Anonymous Coward User ID: 55659520 United States 10/09/2014 05:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | People are walking advertisements for what their views are. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1035552 Why? Don't you ever want to keep your views to yourself? Why wear advetisements on your body on clothes you paid for! People are nasty. Oh, if you hate that, you'll loathe this. A few years ago at the store where I work, we were selling shirts that said "Property of (Store Name)." All I could think was, who the hell would buy a shirt that labeled them as some company's property? I'm happy to report that they did not sell well. Gave me a tiny little bit of faith in humanity. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 1035552 United States 10/09/2014 05:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | People will wear anything if it is given to them free. I see them wearing corporate billboards for pop, cigarettes, beer, booze, bars, cruises, anything! Then you see those fools wearing the most embarrassing so called "jokes". As I said, people are nasty. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 63844814 United States 10/09/2014 05:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I remember the last new car I bought in '05. Right before closing the deal and signing the contract, I told the sales rep I would not have the dealers badge on my car unless the dealer wanted to pay me $50.00 a month in advertising fees. He balked so I told him to get the GM. He balked too until I said fine I'll take my business elsewhere and got out of my chair after handing the signing pen back to him. He said ok and instructed them to remove the dealer's badge from the trunk. 10 minutes later they again tried to stall saying they'd damage the paint if they removed it. I did get my car without their free advertising but it took sticking to my guns. |

I was wearing a yellow and black sweatshirt and some fool still asked me if I was a fan of (some unknown college team). Just because of the damn colors. |

I've had people tell me they'll only wear name-brand merchandise because they don't want people thinking "I shop at Wal-Mart."
