I love scrapple but it's hard to find these days. I think the bacon campaign has eclipsed every other breakfast meat, link sausages included. Mmmm...maple......

There is a local company that makes turkey scrapple. It is really good

My Dad was lucky to eat 2 eggs per week, back in the 1930s.

He's nearly 90 now, and was a Royal Marine who fought in the Far East at the end of WW2.

FFS, "Spotted Dick" is a sponge pudding incorporating raisins and sultanas, usually steamed to perfection, and served with custard or cream as a topping.

It's a lot more palatable than your "Whole Chicken In A Can", believe me!

Has pork meat in it with maybe wheat and corn meal?

My dad used to make what he called 'mush'. It was some sort of corn meal with the consistency of grits, etc. It was yellow and solid when he fried it.

Then we put maple syrup on it. It was soooooooooo good. He was from the 'nawth'.

Didn't have any meat in it though.
