Well, that is the problem isn't it? I hasn't been safe for a woman to run errands alone in a big city since Kitty Genovese was slaughtered in 1964. It has steadily gotten more and more dangerous since then and it will continue to get worse. Daylight is not even a deterrent in many cases.

As someone who gets a lot of unwanted attention, there have been times that I have been overweight, and I LOVED being invisible to men. It was a wonderful feeling of freedom. Why do men think that women are flattered to be the object of their attention? Who do they think they are?

There's nothing wrong with being politely complimented by someone, and I saw nothing wrong with the God Bless You's, but there is too much harassment from some men that is predatory. I'd like every man to be a woman for just one day in their lives. Maybe they'd finally understand how some women really are harassed every time they step out of their front door, and how much anxiety that can cause, especially if they have been molested or raped in their past.
