Technically a real shock wave is at or near the speed of sound.
It also degrades at the cube of the distance so its unlikely its a shock wave or from hundreds of miles away.

I live in Northern OH and around that time I felt and heard something shake the house. At first I thought it was a truck going by but it seemed different this time.

What hit us happened four times in a row a few seconds apart.

Since someone indicated that this might be MILITARY JET related, I won't post where in OH this happened.

i live in central ky. and i was layin in bed watchin t.v. last night i turned the t.v. of and a few moments later i heard what sounded like a loud car coming down the road and as it approached it hit my house like a wall....shook it enough to make vibrations within the house.....very strange u mention this shock wave.

This sounds strange but Im in Central Iowa and can hear when these "booms" go off. It Is about 3-5 seconds long and a strange pitch in left ear. I have a Saint Bernard who also heard the one this morning at 8:11am CT

During WWII they would BLACKOUT entire cities to hide them from enemy bombers. In a world where info travels at the speed of light, in times when tensions are high; I'd error on the side of caution-- regardless of whether-or-not the info is classified.
