Uhhh, that wasnt just a jam, that second to last round was lodged in the barrel. Reloading without verifying an open barrel after a jam could have killed or maimed you or the person next to you. Hope you know better next time.

Previous post was right, a dud lodged the bullet into the barrel, shot after that blew up the rifle.

Nope, not even close. It was a M1 Garand. His is obvious...8 shots and you can see the clip eject. It does look like it has an added forearm grip, so who knows...gun mods, bad re-loads or just an unfortunate accident.

Squib probably from a bad reload.

Lesson, if your gun goes pop or nothing and no bang, wait two minutes unload the weapon and check the barrel to make sure it is clear.

Or just jack out the offending round, and see if it still has a bullet on the end of it.

It's an M1 Garand, the reason it exploded is the guide rod is not built to handle modern sporting ammunition. This is a common malfunction when using over powered ammunition in an M1 Garand.

That's why I seldom let girls shoot my rifles, I let them play with my gun though.

When a gun explodes in a girls face, it's called a money shot.

The guy obviously knows she's stopped firing and seems to have an issue yet he doesn't give instructions that would have prevented this. Seems, then, he would have done the same thing as she did had it happened to him. That, or he likes to see rifles blow up in someone's (his daughter's?) face.
