Anyone else embarrassed they warned someone of a doom event that didn't happen

A war or natural disaster could happen anywhere at any moment, nobody knows the future.


All you can do is try and be ready for anything that may happen as best as you can.

I have been for believing in some of the first contact predictions, but I have learned my lesson an trust noting now.

Sometimes doom isn't instant. Look at the weather, Coldest year ive seen in Ohio. Constant wind. Society is failing. Integrities are corrupt....the sun is white when it use to be a warm yellow. Its getting real!. Soon we will have food shortages. People will lose jobs, riots..the writing is on the wall. All the movie and tv shows about the end, extinction, aliens.....Nuclear war with Russia.....Doom is on the door step. Prepare and adapt or perish. Stop living as if you will be alive forever.

I never scream the "sky is falling" While I secretly follow or buy into some conspiracy theories or potential doom events I keep them to myself mostly.

You just know when stfu.

While at some gathering/party or whatever and you are talking to a bunch of people when the conversation veers off from kids/weather/jobs into politics or other world events most people have little to say when it doesn't impact their lives at least directly. That's when you know not to say anymore.

It is better to discuss such things when you are 1 on 1, then you have their full attention and can leave enough bread crumbs to make them think......

No but I do like to point out the folly of those doing just that.

What has happened before on a cosmic scale, will happen again, life and the universe is a cycle of circles. Wait for it..

If you talk about things posted on GLP to people IRL you might be a doom tard.

There's nonsense that wasn't ever likely to happen. That class of doomongering is an embarrassment.

There are also, however, the near misses, where it can't be apprehended beforehand whether the potential will become the actual. Think 2008 cascading failure type event, emergent disease, CME. These episodes happen again and again, and each time, it's a roll of the dice.

You're no more an idiot for forewarning on such than you would be to suggest that playing Russian Roulette is best avoided in spite of the fact that outcomes are usually neutral. That said, I'd avoid the wide-eyed, panic sweating, grabbing of the intended beneficiary's arm. That doesn't do anyone any good.

If i feel like i should warn someone about something i say i read it on this crazy website called GLP.
Jan 1, taught me not to say what i believe.
The good thing is that i still prep and after all these years i have a good asortment of prep gear

I made the mistake of listening to Gerald Celente back in 2008 when he said catastrophic depression at the beginning of 2009, 5 years later and I'm still waiting.

Yes, but I only warned my closest family members, not any friends or co-workers, so I've managed to recover and be forgiven although my credibility with them has been forever damaged. I can't tell them anything now that they will believe or take seriously.

Better safe than sorry. Only makes you stronger and wiser about being aware.

Take this as a warning so that you do not experience the social chaos that I have.

In November of 2008 I sold every worldly possession that I had besides my survival gear. I pulled by kids out of school and quit my job. My family and I retreated to my bunker. We sat inside that 600 square foot hole in the ground for 6 months until we ran out of food.

I expected the end of the world as we know it due to economic collapse. I warned my extended family and when they refused to join me in my bunker I chastised them as retarded fucking idiots asleep to reality.

so when we emerged from the bunker, rifles in hand, I was shocked that people were still working. The grocery stores still had fresh veggies and beef.

My wife divorced me after social services took my kids because they had missed so much school. My house had gone into foreclosure. Of course I had no job. I tried to drive my truck, but the old ass ethanol gas blew up the motor.

so here I am in 2014. I am single. I had to do 2 years of court ordered councilling sessions after my mom turned me in to the police as being deranged. I haven't seen my kids in 5 years. I work at Burger King as an assistant manager. I still live in my bunker because I have no money.

i believed this one for some reason and went to walgreens at 2am to buy batteries and stuff and told people what was happening.

it was in college area so they all thought i was back from bars drunk.

i had my informative speech all played out in my head and it was so serious.

that was 5 years ago and i never went through with it.

i was mainly gonna do it so i wouldn't have to share my new wealth cause he would have his own.

that would of been single worse thing i ever would of done with my dad. cause he would of know how fucking gullible and stupid i was and would of affected 100's of things to this day.

they never would of trusted me with money or ideas and stuff like that again.
