Quoting: Mug 50338512 mmmkay Ironically, the ancient Epicurians would have disagreed somewhat with that. They believed there was no life after death, but that there WAS a God....or Gods....who created the world and then just let the Universe take care of itself. Most people here are just nihilistic physicalists who think of everything as machinistic--------and have a negative view of everything. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 66087341 Bulgaria 12/19/2014 02:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What did Moses do exactly? He was abandoned by his own so that gentiles could raise him, then he killed gentiles so the whole tribe could escape while killing more gentiles so that they could come to the promised land that was promised to them so long as they killed all the gentiles to take the land from them. Has anything changed? |

No chariots, etc, that's a congame. if you believe there is you're lying to yourself, hardly a godly act. If they existed they'd be displayed by the tribe as proof of existance of their personal tribal god but like the rest of the book of entitlement tales no evidence for the existence of any of the personalities exists to prove the OT claim that gentiles are permanently unworthy of gods affections or proper treatment. It was created to justify the extermination of subhumans so their property could become 'available' for free. |

Who among you would think they wouldn't be making a MosesLand theme park out of the Egyptians bones and shields and chariots and arrows and helmets and such and charging stupid gentile pilgrims hefty fees to pledge their allegiance to a god that repeatedly teaches that they are disposable? Anonymous Coward User ID: 63397178 United States 12/19/2014 02:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I saw the movie last week. I didn't see it as satanic at all. How was the parting of the red sea satanic? The pagans attempted to explain each plague to their leader. Of course, both people who claimed they could help were later hung. What I didn't understand was the humanizing of Ramses II. I actually felt sorry for him. Never feeling loved, etc. Maybe it was a dig at people having everything yet still being empty. I also didn't like God being a little boy bent on revenge. I'm fine with a booming voice and body we never see. Christian Bale's accent changed throughout. He is usually great at accents (Batman, The Fighter). I have to feel it was intentional. I cannot believe this is the same director as Kingdom of Heaven. That was a beautifully done film. I really, really loved it. It is still one of my all time favorite movies. I also enjoyed Gladiator. I get the passover scene had to happen, but damn, that was painful. I still have a hard time wrapping my mind around God doing that. Horrible. I felt sick seeing it on film. Don't bother going to see this. Not because I feel it is satanic but because I feel like Scott had very little real insight into what he was trying to portray. If Mel Gibson wasn't a loon these days, I'd say he should have done it. It is nothing compared to the Passion. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 66087341 Bulgaria 12/19/2014 03:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How is the Moses story possibly satanic? Well, for one thing it's a story based upon the justification of destruction of large numbers of humans, most of which are innocent even by old testament standards. If man is gods creation and in gods image whaty so much wholesale destruction with plagues and massacres of innocents INSTEAD OF JUST REVEALING THE TRUTHS TO PHAROH? The god portrayed is indeed a neglectful and bloodthirsty god that needs a small band of brigands to catalyse wholesale massacres of innocents. What's in YOUR god? |
