Elite Dangerous
Anyone here play this PC game? IT'S FUCKING EPIC.

Entire galaxy on a 1:1 scale, simulated to full reality. Every star cataloged by us is exactly where it should be in the game, represented in true-to-life form!

Black holes are extremely rare as only one has been found so far in the game, FAR FAR from colonized space, and they are dangerous, as you can't see them. You have to watch for the tell-tale warping effect of the light from stars, so they are virtually invisible.

The game should be a fucking global treasure. It's mindblowing.

If you don't know what it is, you should look it up, even if you don't play games, and ESPECIALLY if you are into astronomy or astrophysics. If you decide to go looking into what this game is, I recommend watching some videos, and MOST OF ALL look for a tutorial of the in-game galaxy map and system maps.

Re: Elite Dangerous
I heard it was coming to Xbox One and PS4 so dont need to buy a PC if you dont how to build it.

But if you learn to build gaming PC:

go to

www.Newegg.com

pretty much the best place to start building your own PC.

Seriously, if you folks don't know what this is, LOOK INTO IT. Just watch someone fool with the galaxy map and system maps, then watch them fly through a system to get a sense of the scale in which you get to explore. THE ENTIRE GALAXY OF OVER 400 BILLION FUCKING STARS!

Nope, it came out on the 17th. Watch some videos, or streams of it. Like I said, if you're into astronomy, or space combat, this game with be worth EVERY cent. Just watch some vids or read all the info on the official webpage and see if you're interested.

Personally I got really bored of games like Freelancer.

Jump gate after jump gate.

It seemed really empty and tedious.

Re: Elite Dangerous
I backed it for 150 dollars and I find its rather boring to say the least. Every station looks like a DND dice and the ships look like widgets. I'll wait for Star Citizen which might be the best thing since sliced cheese or a big let down. In the mean time I'm happy playing space engineers which is awesome since it's like minecraft in space.

Big letdown. They have what? A hangar simulation going now so you can walk around and look at nothing?
