Since I started brushing with Coconut Oil, my teeth are breaking apart!!!

its the hydrogen peroxide and baking soda fucking you up, it takes off the enamel if you have anymore then a sprinkle of baking soda

the oil pulling is fine

the ones that get fooled by the troll wouldn't be smart enough to use coconut oil anyway - beheheheh

Whoa, OP. This is dramatic and heartbreaking..so sorry you're going through this.

BTW, NO NO to peroxide. It is way strong and corrosive and eats the enamel especially at the thinner gumline where microscopic nerve conducting exchange takes place.
That can put you in a world of hurt as well.
Any amount of peroxide IS TOO STRONG even cut 3 to 1 with water.

Please stop all of the above you are doing. BTW I suspect the peroxide is more damaging than coconut oil in making teeth brittle.

Go to a dentist and get some plan to halt the damage, ok?

Yea I am using the peroxide/bs to whiten. From what I understand I shouldnt brush with this daily is that true could it be harmful?
I do know I have a few fillings from when I was younger got them maybe 10 years ago. Know nothing about them so I couldnt tell you if they are amalgam..
Dentist are expensive but I'm looking into insurance now..
If I did continue the oil pulling which idk if I will at this point, how often should it be done?

Bullshit, I've been using coconut oil for almost 9 months, my brother, another friend. All report amazing results. My teeth feel like they did when I was a child. Like my gums are hugging my teeth. IF the baking soda you're using is arm & hammer, ditch it. Get baking soda from a heath food store, non-aluminum. That would be the only reason, NO WAY is it the coconut oil.

Are you mixing the soda with coconut oil? What proportions?
Or are you just using coconut oil to brush?

If you have fillings from over 10 years ago, they are most-likely amalgam. I'd discontinue the oil pulling and stick to the recipe I linked to above.

You need to be remineralizing your teeth at this point, and discontinue the sodas - it's terrible for your body, brain, and, well teeth!

You're still young that you should look into everything you can now to prevent more tooth decay. Though kudos to you for trying what you've learned by making your own paste - you're ahead of the game.

I'm not on FB, but there's a group on FB called 'Heal Thyself' and you can ask lots of questions about this kind of stuff there. The group is much more knowledgeable than I am. I just know the basics when it comes to teeth.

I'll also tell you, I've experimented with making my own and trying a few different brands. I have a ton of Tom's (fluoride-free) toothpaste (got them from couponing), so when I'm out of my own stuff, I will resort to the Tom's. It's not bad. BUT! I notice that if I brush with it more than a couple days in a row, the sensitivity I used to have in some spots come back.

Other brands I've used with success (though much pricier than making your own):

It's really great too, but if you look at the ingredients, you can see that they are all things you can buy and make yourself. I use the old jar to put my own paste in ;)

Both are almost pure sugar bro. Smoothies are sugary and acidic both. So is Mtn. Dew. I would bet that years of those has way more effect than the past few months of trying to make up for it with healthy dental care. Too late.

Stop! Obviously it's not working, for whatever reason. Had a friend who convinced me to go non fluoride, got 4 cavities. In 6 months. Back to fluoride now.
