I still haven't got a definative answer as to wheather the story was actually true or not. I thought the film was entertaining, but it shocked me that it broke all those box office records. The movie was decent but wasn't great. I definently noticed the fake baby scene though.

Was it proven that the situation did not occur? I read the judge instructed the jury to not take into consideration to wheather or not the situation actually happen, but to consider if Kyle profited form the segment. This could be completely false but I did read that somewhere.

I think ventura is a bone head (he rips on tea party people) his political views are some kind of bizzare melding of constitution and communism. That being said if therw was ANY proof that what Kyle claimed was true, the jury never would have found Kyle guilty of slander and awarded ventura so much money. My theory is that Kyle started talking about what he would love to do to the loudmouth ventura because of something he said, it became a rumor that it happened, it grew and he just went with it because it sold books
